Specialized Men's Epic Hardtail Comp
Cross country courses are nothing like they used to be. Today's tracks have more in common with trail riding than the pancake flat NORBA courses of yesteryear. For this reason, we threw away the hardtail rulebook and drafted our own chapter to create the Epic Hardtail Comp. We took a revolutionary new frame design and spec'd it specifically for the rigors of racing contemporary XC courses. It's one of the lightest frames we've ever made, tipping the scales around 1175g. And to make it this light, we built the entire frame from our superlative FACT 11m carbon fiber, and then we took some cues from our road bikes. We borrowed the Rider-First Engineered concept that originated with the Tarmac. Now, the frame design applies specificity to every tube size and carbon layup for every frame size. This creates the optimal balance of rigidity, weight, and responsiveness, so every frame, regardless of size, performs just as we intended. We've also tweaked the geometry for more speed and stability by slacking-out the head tube angle, lengthening the top tube, and correcting the seat tube angle. This way, it feels more planted then ever, and frankly, it's stupid fast. We also widened the rear spacing to 12x148mm and included internal split-housing cable routing. For the build, this Epic takes value to new heights with a custom-tuned RockShox Reba RL fork, 1x11 SRAM GX shifting, and fast rolling Roval Control alloy wheels. - By pairing a FACT 11m carbon fiber frame with our XC 29 Geometry, this Epic places a focus on revolutionary tube angles and extremely light overall weight for explosive speed and nimble handling on the race circuit. For good measure, we also gave it 148mm rear spacing and all-new triangulated post-mount brake mounts. - The RockShox Reba RL 29 fork offers up 90/100mm of smooth travel, while an easily accessible compression and rebound adjusts permit you to customize the feel according to the terrain at hand. - One-by 11-speed shifting is provided by a durable SRAM GX component spec.
Specialized Epic Hardtail Comp

The Comp combines a 915-gram carbon chassis as with a RockShox Reba RL fork and plenty of gearing to take on the steepest climbs, thanks to its SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain. - At a mere 915 grams, the new Epic Fact 11m frame is stunningly light. What’s more, we’ve designed the Epic chassis to be incredibly capable and comfortable, with progressive geometry and an advanced composite layup that boosts vertical compliance. - The RockShox Reba RL 29 fork offers 100mm of smooth travel, while an easily accessible compression and rebound adjusts permit you to customize the feel according to the terrain at hand. - SRAM Level TL bring the Epic Hardtail Comp to a quick stop and offer good modulation. - The 12-speed SRAM NX Eagle groupset brings the performance of Eagle without the higher price.

If you're ready to take your trail riding to the next level, let us introduce you to your new friend, the Women's Rockhopper Pro 29. It starts with an A1 SL alloy frame that has optimized tube shapes which save weight while dramatically improving aesthetics. To go along with these clean new lines, the Rockhopper also has internal cable routing to further clean up the frame. Lastly, Sport XC 29 geometry adjusts the reach, angles, and standover height to make for an improved fit across the size range. This is sure to keep you ripping and confident while heading both up and down the trail. This Rockhopper comes spec'd with a mix of renowned Shimano SLX and Deore components, powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes that'll stop on a dime, grippy Ground Control tires that deliver superior control over almost any kind of terrain, and a superlative Manitou Markhor 29 fork that's air-sprung and has just the right amount of travel. You'll also find that Specialized paid special attention to the needs of female riders, which is why every width and length of the components is tailored to women, while the Body Geometry Myth Sport saddle is sure to deliver comfort, mile after mile along the trail. - The frame is constructed from lightweight A1 SL aluminum in order to provide a compliant, durable platform to support the Women's XC Sport 29 Geometry. Combined, you get a bike that's more than efficient on climbs and descends with equal aplomb. - A Manitou Markhor 29 fork offers 80/90/100mm (size-specific) of plush, trail taming travel and stiff 30mm stanchions. - It's hard to beat the blend of durability, reliability, and performance that the Shimano SLX rear derailleur provides. Last year, Specialized's Fuse proved that more volume means more speed. And this year, they took a proven idea and made it even better with a carbon frame. Say hello to the Fuse Expert Carbon 6Fattie. The lightweight FACT 10m carbon fiber frame construction blends stiffness with low weight to form the pinnacle of efficiency, while internal routing and an integrated SWAT Door create a tidy aesthetic and zero-hassle storage. Up front, the Rhythm FLOAT 34 is the latest trail-taming fork from the masterminds at Fox, offering two-position sweep adjust and 120mm of plush travel. On top of a plush fork, the build features Specialized's 6Fattie Wheel System in order to put out more traction, more flotation, and better handling without sacrificing anything on climbs. The 6Fattie Purgatory and Ground Control tires feature a perfectly sized contact patch for life-changing levels of traction and control while cornering, all without sacrificing climbing efficiency or descending prowess. And with a GRID casing protecting the sidewalls, these tires will stand up to anything the trail can throw at them. To solidify itself as a proper trail machine, the Fuse places a focus on blending durability, performance, and utility. To do so, Specialized spec'd it with a bulletproof 1 x 11-speed SRAM drivetrain with plenty of hammering and climbing ability. Lastly, utility is finally covered for the first time in Fuse history with the addition of integrated storage at the down tube via the SWAT Door.
