Introducing the redesigned Maxxis High Roller II, offering better braking and more consistent feel. The open and aggressive tread design gives the High Roller II excellent soil penetration and mud clearing ability. A square profile provides a solid, consistent feel across the knobs, and modified knobs on the shoulder and center improve braking performance and traction on hard surfaces. A folding bead reduces weight and makes it easy to keep a spare on hand. When gravity pulls you downhill, rely on the High Roller II to keep you upright.
The Maxxis Assegai tire is named after the iron-tipped spear used by the Zulu people of South Africa. Greg Minnaar, a native of South Africa, thought it was a fitting name for a tire ready to do battle on the mountain. The Assegai tire is designed primarily for downhill racing and aggressive trail riding in mixed conditions. The knob height falls between the Minion DHR II and the Shorty. Like the Minion tires, the center knobs are heavily ramped on the leading edge to reduce rolling resistance. A small knob located between the center tread and side knobs provides a smooth transition while cornering. When combined with Maxxis’ 3C MaxxGrip rubber compound, the Assegai offers predictable traction, even over slippery roots and rocks. - Wide Trail casing optimized for 30mm-35mm rims - 3C MaxxGrip rubber compound for unparalleled traction - Dual-ply downhill casing - Tubeless-Ready bead
The Maxxis Rekon is an aggressive trail tire inspired by the Ikon for intermediate and technical terrain. Wide knobs down the middle provide control under braking and L-shaped side knobs assure support when carving loose turns. With confidence like this you can race more and scout less with the Rekon. - Designed for aggressive XC trails - Tubeless Ready
Maxxis' Shorty is a mid-spike tire for loose or slightly muddy conditions; more versatile than the WetScream. Today's World Cup downhill tracks are steep, technical monsters with ever-changing conditions. Maxxis' pros needed a mid-spike tire that could handle dry, loose, blown-out corners as well as a bit of mud. The Shorty is that tire. A high-volume, dual-ply downhill casing makes the Shorty a more versatile option than a dedicated mud spike like the Wet Scream. Large, tall and slightly staggered side knobs penetrate loose soil to provide predictable, stable cornering at warp speeds. The alternating pattern of the center tread features widely-spaced knobs to clear debris, and their square shape offers plenty of braking bite. For downhill mountain biking in gnarly, mixed conditions, the Shorty can't be beat! - Folding bead - Large, aggressive lugs - 3C Maxx Grip rubber compound - Dual-ply casing with butyl insert - Wide trail (WT) casing is optimized for 30-35mm inner width rims
The Rekon is an aggressive trail tire inspired by the Ikon for intermediate and technical terrain. Wide knobs down the middle provide control under braking and L-shaped side knobs assure support when carving loose turns. With confidence like this you can race more and scout less with the Rekon. The Rekon is an aggressive XC trail tire for intermediate and technical terrain. - Ramped center knobs are fast rolling and provide secure braking; aggressive side lugs deliver traction in the corners - Designed for technical XC riding in loose to moderate trail conditions - Intended use: loose, loose over hard, medium
An even more aggressive Minion?! The Maxxis Minion DHR II is the Yang to the DHF's Yin, the perfect complement, and now available for the most capable plus bikes on the market. Proven paddle knobs down the center not only provide decreased rolling resistance compared to the DHF but also offer increased braking when the trail gets loose. You may not notice it outside of the steepest terrain but those knobs allow you to brake harder in the rear to maintain your balance as you let the high volume casing absorb any trail irregularities. - Excellent braking and cornering traction - Ramped and siped tread to roll fast and track straight under braking - Folding bead - Tubeless Ready

In 1984 Tom was the first to appropriate road tire technology for mountain bike tire design by introducing tread wear analysis, higher TPI and more compliant rubber compounds. Pioneering what he called Vector Force Analysis, he developed trail-specific tread patterns and technology for MTB tires. The result was the first ever rotation-specific tire, as well as the first front- and rear-specific treads. The newest mountain bike tires to the Ritchey line are no strangers to VFA; featuring a wider, reinforced casing to handle a more aggressive terrain, the Bite and Drive are the culmination of years of analysis for all mountain riding. Bite: front or rear, rotation-specific tread that bites into the terrain for excellent control in all conditions - VFA Tread Design - 7mm StrongHold bead-to-bead casing reinforcement (WCS) - Tubeless-ready (WCS) - WCS (120 TPI) or Comp (30TPI) levels - 795g (650b WCS)
